Meet the StaffBrandi Tuck, Executive Director![]() Brandi is the director of the Goose Hollow Family Shelter. Brandi has been the director at GHFS for two years and is excited to see all the familiar faces again this season. Previously, Brandi worked at the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force doing anti-hunger public policy work and outreach for federal nutrition programs - and still works there part time. She has a degree from the University of Florida in Political Science and Philosophy with a minor in Organizational Leadership for Nonprofits - Go Gators! In her free time, she loves running and playing with her dog Wookie, teaching group exercise, reading, playing piano, pinball, volunteering, backpacking, and college football - GO GATORS! Allie Brucculeri, Communications and Volunteer CoordinatorAllie is a new addition to the shelter. Before coming to us, Allie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia. As part of her service Allie lived in a small village on an isolated island where she taught in an elementary school, worked toward building a new library, and directed a summer camp for youth. Since returning to the United States Allie has relocated from her home town in New York to Portland. Since moving to Portland Allie has been exploring Portland in pursuit of the perfect slice of pizza. In her free time Allie enjoys traveling, reading, and sewing. Amber Harrison, Shelter ManagerAmber Harrison is a former volunteer at Goose Hollow Family Shelter who has joined us this year as a new staff member. Amber is 31 and recently relocated to Portland from Florida. She is currently a college student at Portland State University in the psychology department. She has spent a considerable amount of time volunteering for a variety of different nonprofit organizations including Capitol City Youth Services of Lean County in Tallahassee Florida. In her free time Amber enjoys reading, going to the cinema, and just about any outdoor activity. She is looking forward to the coming year with Goose Hollow Family Shelter and Thirteen Salmon Family Center. Davin Burek, Shelter ManagerDavin is thrilled to be returning as a night manager at Goose Hollow. When not working here or at Transition Project, Davin loves to ride his bike and play guitar (or at least attempt to!). He'll be happy to talk about Portland's home team with anyone. GO BLAZERS! Steph Austin, Shelter ManagerSteph has been in Portland for three years. She is currently getting her masters in Marriage, Couples and Family Therapy. In her spare time Steph is a naturalist; going Hiking, birdwatching, canoeing and exploring. Steph also loves to cooking and reading books that she had only read the Cliff's notes to in High School! Michael Haglund, Shelter ManagerMichael is new to Portland, he recently moved from his home town of Tacoma Washington. After graduating from the University of Washington he took a position as a shift manager at the Tacoma Rescue Mission before moving on as a Prevention Counselor at Pierce County AIDS Foundation. As a new resident in the city of Portland Michael looks forward to his new role as a shelter manager. Mary Babcock, Shelter ManagerMary is a 29 year old Portland, Oregon native and student at PSU. She loves movies and reading, cuddling with her dog and hanging with friends and family. If Mary's not camping in the summer she rooting for the Blazers in the fall and learning to snowboard in the winter. Mary is really looking forward to working at Goose Hollow Family Shelter, this is her first time working for a non-profit.
