Shelter Needs

Thanks for the generosity of everyone who has donated items to us! Your overwhelming kindness makes an immediate difference in our ability to provide constructive assistance to our guests.

Monetary donations can be made out and sent to Portland Homeless Family Solutions at:

Your monetary donation will be used to help provide services to homeless families with children at the Goose Hollow Family Shelter. Our goal is to help every family find permanent housing before they leave the shelter. We are successful at finding housing for 70.8% of our families.

Currently, we are in need of the following items and are taking donations only of these items:

• Laundry Soap (hypoallergenic only)
  
• Bus Tickets (packs of 10 from Trimet - Adult 2 Zone or Adult All Zone)
• Children's DVDs (e.g. Disney or Pixar)
• Fred Meyer Gift Certificates of $25-$50
• Breakfast food (granola bars, juice boxes, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, coffee and tea)
• Small sample-size packages of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shaving gel, razors, deodorant, Toothpaste
• Luggage or duffel bags to give to guests to store their personal belongings
• Diapers and baby wipes
• Tissues, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes to help us get through the cold and flu season
  
• Blankets
