The Goose Hollow Family Shelter is open for it's 16th season!

The Goose Hollow Family Shelter is an emergency winter shelter for homeless families with children that was founded in 1994. The shelter operates each winter from November 1 - May 31. We are one of the few shelters in the Portland metropolitan area that allows homeless families to stay together while living in temporary shelter.

Last year was one of the busiest shelter seasons that we have ever seen - we were constantly full of homeless families with children. Many of our families last year were 2-parent families who had never been homeless before. We helped 48 families with children last year, and helped 34 of those families find housing. In all, 70.8% of our families found permanent housing solutions.

You can continue to help out at the shelter by...

• Donating breakfast foods like bread, jam, peanut butter, granola bars, fruit, coffee and tea
• Donating day to day use items like tissues, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, diapers, baby wipes, and bus tickets
  
• Donate money so that we can continue to serve homeless families with children throughout the year
